Family Education Conferences

SHARE offers conferences for parents and their children to assist them with educational issues while they serve with agencies cross-culturally.  Services include achievement testing for children, workshops for parents, individual appointments with educational consultants and a children’s program for all ages.

Educational Planning Seminars for Parents

SHARE and Interaction International co-sponsor seminars for North American parents who are planning to live and work cross-culturally with an evangelical agency.  Workshops and individual consultation time assist parents with setting realistic expectations and making a workable plan for educating children in another culture.

Achievement Testing opportunity:

Each May, SHARE administers the Iowa Test of Basic Skills to children who have been living cross-culturally.  For more information on this test and who will benefit from it, see the Testing section under the "Our Services" menu tab of this website.  Testing may reassure parents of adequate annual progress or highlight academic issues that need to be addressed.
